If your child… |

If your child has tested positive for Covid-19
|
Please contact the school office to report this during the day on: 01257 264740 Out of school hours, in the evening, early morning or at weekends please report via email to covidabsence@saint-michaels.lancs.sch.uk Please do not leave a message on the school answer phone. It is important to use the email so that the Senior Leadership Team are able to be proactive in their response and can take immediate action in relation to identifying and isolating contacts. (Some pupils who have been asked to isolate this week have been contacted during the evenings and weekend in advance of them coming into school.) Please state:
PLEASE ONLY USE THIS OUT OF HOURS EMAIL TO REPORT POSITIVE COVID 19 PUPIL CASES or THAT YOUR CHILD HAS HAD A TEST AND IS AWAITING RESULTS (and not that your child is isolating). |

If your child… |
What you need to do… |
If your child needs to isolate |
01257 264740 If this is during the evening or weekend please phone school and leave a message. (If your child subsequently goes for a Covid-19 test then please follow the points above). If any member of your household is showing any COVID symptoms, everyone in the household must stay at home and ensure a test is booked as soon as possible. Children MUST not return to school, even if they are symptom free themselves until the result of the test is known. If any member of the household has tested positive, all other household members MUST isolate for at least 14 days. (A negative test result for a pupil does NOT mean they can return to school if they are a member of a household with a positive Covid 19 case.) |

Additional Information |
We would be really grateful if you would take time to talk about the importance of these measures with your sons and daughters.
Pupils should be striving to keep their contacts to a minimum. |
|
|
Remote Learning
(for pupils who need to isolate but are well enough to work)
|
Please refer to the remote learning guide which was sent home before half term.
Your child should be logging on to School Synergy to retrieve their work and following their school timetable throughout the day.
Pupils should be joining their tutorial via Microsoft Teams each morning at 8.50 to register for the day and should be wearing their uniform to do so. They may have other ‘live’ lessons during the day which they should access via Teams. Thank you for your continued support and for your prayers for members of our school community who are being impacted by the virus. |
