St Michael's was founded by local residents in the Chorley area more than 50 years ago. The founder members wanted a church school for local children and set about raising the funds to build a purpose-built school in the heart of Chorley. Today, St Michael's still prides itself on the Christian ethos that underpins everything we do.
Our Mission Statement
As a vibrant learning community
we choose to serve God,
pursue excellence
and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual.
We aim to achieve this by providing a learning experience that develops our pupils in body, mind and spirit; setting high standards for all, confident that we can achieve success; providing a learning environment that is ordered and disciplined; encouraging and recognising positive achievement.
Our School Motto
Therefore, choose
The school motto is taken from the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy. This encapsulates our aim as a school: to prepare and equip each of our pupils so that they are able to make informed choices in every area of their lives. We believe that successful education addresses the whole of what it means to be a happy, fulfilled and successful adult.
